Could this be the BEST way to build a following on Instagram for your business?

So there are so many strategies, tips and tricks put out on the internet by so-called gurus and experts.

But do any of these gurus and experts use their strategies to build on their own followings.

Now over the past few months I have been testing a number of these strategies and apps on social accounts built primarily for testing. Apps include FollowLikerr, Captivate and a few others. All they pretty much do is follow and unfollow other accounts that you tell them to.

My overall rating of these apps to build and ENGAGED following however is poor. The apps simply follow and unfollow other accounts, they do not engage or provide any value to the account being followed.

I then came across the Gary Vaynerchuk $1.80 Instagram Strategy. Built to grow your business or brand on Instagram.

Step 1: FIND THE BEST HASHTAGS AND FOLLOW THEM

Find the top hashtags in your businesses sector. For example, as an entrepreneur I would use #entrepreneur (36,366,975 uses as of 03.10.2018).

When you search for your hashtags you will be shown some more related hashtags relevant to your first hashtag.

The great thing about searching for hashtags is that you can quickly discover related hashtags relevant to your industry or niche.

Take your time to pick out the top performing hashtags (those with the most uses). And also take note of the smaller hashtags that are relevant, these could still make a great impact.

Take about a minute to scroll through the top 9 posts of each hashtag.

Once you find these posts you need to identify the account behind it. Read the account bio and look at their profile, try to gather an understanding of their likes and dislikes. Read the caption of their latest post and then engage.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE NUMBER OF LIKES, COMMENTS AND VIEWS

Some accounts despite being small, say 190 followers, can still have great engagement from their followers. A post they make may get 50 likes and 15 comments. Considering the size of that accounts following that would be great engagement. So reach out and leave your .02

What you need to remember is that no matter how small the connection, they all count towards building your community of like minded people.

Your goal is to help.

Step 2: LEAVE YOUR INSTAGRAM COMMENT .02C FOR THE $1.80 INSTAGRAM STRATEGY

So far you have identified the top 9 posts for your 10 hashtags.

Now it’s time to leave your 0.2c for each of these accounts that created each post. Provide some value where you can, or just let them know about your appreciation for their post.

Answer any questions people have posted in the comments section, if you can that is. I’m not suggesting you lie or pretend you know more than you actually do. I’m sure there is enough people doing that already…

Tag a friend if you think the post will benefit them.

Comment, like, engage, respond and share. These are the simple ways to leave your .02c

Spend 2mins on each post.

You do not have to say anything compelling or write a lengthy paragraph. Just be social, active in your community.

Stay true to yourself at all times, be authentic and transparent. If you want to connect with these accounts send them a DM and show your interest in collaborating with them, and let them know how you could be of VALUE to them.

Step 3: CONTINUE TO COMMENT, LIKE AND ENGAGE ON INSTAGRAM

That is the entire process .02c , on 9 posts for 10 hashtags EVERY DAY. Adding up to $1.80 per day.

It’s not groundbreaking, it’s not re-inventing the wheel, it’s not top secret and it’s definitely not difficult to put into action.

Only thing stopping people from doing this is that they are LAZY, and think they don’t have the TIME.

If you don’t think you have the time to connect and engage with your audience then I am pretty sure your not going to create an engaged following. You need to show interest and give value to your community before you can begin to receive anything back in return.

This is a numbers game. Most people will be leaving their .02c per day, and thats it. If you your leaving $1.80, your sure to see a return, much greater than the business only leaving a minute .02c a day!

Remember to keep your .02c valuable and authentic and you’ll grow faster.

Even if you grow by a 1 follower a day, or you gain 1 new idea about what works or doesn’t on Instagram. That follower will have chosen to follow you for the value you have given, not just because they are following you back in response to you following them.

Go ahead and start using this strategy for your business. Give $1.80 per day. Slowly but surely you’ll build an audience that appreciates your content and the value you provide.
